Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri: Watch out for Suraj Venjaramoodu’s yet another stunning performance!
Suraj Venjaramoodu’s acting career can be divided into two halves; before and after the National Award. After becoming the country’s best actor in 2014, there is a remarkable growth in Suraj’s career graph. He has been part of many good films that has offered him scope for performance.
Eventhough Dr Biju’s Perariyathavar won Suraj the prestigious award, it his performance in Abrid Shine’s Action Hero Biju that made the audience take notice of the fantastic actor in him. He followed that up with good roles in movies like Kammatipadam, Karinkunnam 6’S, Oru Muthassi Gadha, Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Aby and Varnyathil Aashanka.
Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri is Suraj’s latest outing and the movie promises to bring to fore the amazing actor in him once again. He plays the role of Plachottil Kuttan Pillai, a 58-year-old police constable. Joselet Joseph has scripted this movie, an intense family drama.
‘Angels’ fame Jean Markose is directing this movie. It is about a series of events that happen in Kuttan Pillai’s house when his relatives – his children, their spouses and extended family – converge at his humble home to attend the annual Shiva Rathri festival. He isn’t happy with their visit as he is concerned about his monthly budget constraints.
Kuttan Pillai is a peculiar character with a lot of shades to him. It will be very interesting to see Suraj’s portrayal of such a challenging character. Our sources close to the unit inform that the actor has given a stunning performance in the movie, worth of sweeping several top awards next year.
Raji Nandakumar is producing Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri under the banner of Alanghat Productions.
