Lokah Chapter 2 Announced: Tovino Thomas to Lead in Dual Roles
The much-awaited sequel to Mollywood’s biggest-ever blockbuster has been officially announced. Titled “Lokah Chapter 2”, the film promises to take audiences on a grander journey “beyond myths and beyond legends.” Written and directed by Dominic Arun, the project is being bankrolled by Wayfarer Films, with a stellar technical crew including Nimish Ravi as cinematographer, Chaman Chakko as editor, Jakes Bejoy as music composer, and Banglan as production designer.
The announcement confirmed Tovino Thomas as the lead, stepping into the mysterious role of “Chaathan (Goblin)”. Adding more excitement, buzz suggests that Tovino will appear in dual avatars—both as hero and villain. This intriguing twist is expected to be one of the film’s major highlights. The sequel builds on the massive success of Lokah Chapter 1, which featured Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead and went on to become the highest-grossing film in Malayalam cinema history.
Another fan-favorite element returns in Lokah Chapter 2—the special appearance of Dulquer Salmaan. After making a cameo in the first part, Dulquer has been confirmed to reprise his guest role in the sequel as revealed in the announcement video. With its powerhouse team, high expectations, and the promise of a more ambitious narrative, “Lokah Chapter 2” is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Indian films of the coming year.
