Tovino Thomas-Starrer Narivetta Postpones Release to May 23
The release date of the much-awaited socio-political thriller Narivetta has been officially postponed to May 23, 2025. Directed by Anuraj Manohar, the film was originally slated to hit theatres on May 16. Starring Tovino Thomas, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Priyamvada Krishnan, Narivetta is based on a true story and explores intense political and social themes. The trailer, which has already generated considerable buzz, teases powerful performances from the lead cast along with Tamil actor Cheran in a significant role.
Backed by producers Tippushan and Shiyas Hassan, the film is written by Abin Joseph. The technical team includes cinematographer Vijay, editor Shameer Muhammad, and music director Jakes Bejoy. The film is executive produced by N M Badusha. With its gripping storyline and hard-hitting visuals, Narivetta is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Malayalam releases of the year.
Adding to the film’s growing reach, AGS Entertainment has acquired the Tamil Nadu distribution rights. This decision follows the excellent reception Tovino’s ARM received in Tamil Nadu last year. AGS, known for producing this year’s Tamil blockbuster Dragon starring Pradeep Ranganathan and directed by Aswath Marimuthu, aims to bring Narivetta to a wider audience. With the new release date confirmed, the countdown begins for this compelling political drama to make its mark in theatres.
