Malavika Mohanan Begins Shooting with Mohanlal for Hridayapoorvam
Malavika Mohanan has embarked on one of the most significant projects of her career in Malayalam cinema as she joins Mohanlal in Hridayapoorvam, directed by veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad. Coming from a family with Kerala roots, Malavika grew up watching Mohanlal’s films and has always admired Sathyan Anthikad’s storytelling. Now, she gets to work with both legends, an opportunity she considers a major milestone. She recently shared behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets, which have since gone viral, expressing her excitement and calling it a dream come true.
The film, penned by Akhil Sathyan with a screenplay by Sonu T. P., marks Mohanlal’s return to sync sound technology after more than three decades, promising a unique cinematic experience. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, Hridayapoorvam is set for a grand Onam release on August 28, 2025. The film features an impressive supporting cast, including Sangita Madhavan Nair, Sangeeth Prathap, Siddique, Lalu Alex, Nishan, and Janardhanan. The technical team comprises music composer Justin Prabhakaran, cinematographer Anu Moothedath, and art director Prasanth Madhav.
Apart from this Malayalam venture, Malavika is also making strides in Telugu cinema, where she is paired with Prabhas in The Raja Saab. With multiple exciting projects in her lineup, she is quickly cementing her place as a rising star in South Indian cinema.
