Malayalam actors must make Prabhas a role model: Minister Kadakampally Surendran
Following the floods that rocked the state of Kerala, the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) has seen a lot of generous contributions from people belonging to various stratas of the society. Commoners, bureaucrats, film personalities, sportspersons, businessmen and many others have donated to the relief fund to help better the lives of those affected by the calamity.
Movie celebrities from across the country were very generous with their donations. Telugu actor Prabhas, who enjoys a massive popularity nationwide post-Baahubali, contributed a whopping Rs 1 crore to the CMDRF. Prabhas’ kind gesture to help the suffering Keralites has earned him a lot of respect.
While inaugurating an event recently in Trivandrum, Minsiter Kadakampally Surendran said that Malayalam movie actors must consider Prabhas as their role model. He mentioned that there are Malayalam actors who get paid Rs 3-4 crore for a single movie. While almost all Malayali actors had done their part to help their fellow state men, there still is a talk among a section of the society about how celebrities could have done more.
