Balachandra Menon also said that the character Charlie has similarities to a character played by him years ago. It was a character named Anadhan which means orphan. He played that in the film named Aarante Mulla Kochumulla. It was a character similar to Charlie who comes in a village all of a sudden or out of the blue. He made reforms in the society there with whatever he can do to make it right. He interfered in every matter in that village and made good changes to all that went wrong there. Charlie has similarities to that character says Balachandra Menon. He believes that when that character came to the modern time it was like Martin and Jomon was following Charlie with their camera.
