Mammootty’s Ameer likely to start rolling in April
It was earlier announced that Mammootty would be teaming up with director Vinod Vijayan for a big-budget flick titled, ‘Ameer’. Haneef Adeni of ‘The Great Father’ and ‘Abrahaminte Santhathikal’ fame is scripting the movie. If reports are to be believed, the makers are planning to start shooting by April. Apparently, Mammootty has allotted around four months date for the movie.
‘Ameer’ is a gangster story that has Mammootty playing the role of a Dubai based underworld don. The movie comes with the tagline ‘confessions of a don’. Mammootty will be appearing in multiple looks in the movie. Sani Yas, a poster designer has come up with his own version of Mammootty’s look in the movie, and it looks fabulous.
Reports suggest that ‘Ameer’ will be made on a massive budget of over Rs 40 crores. The movie has been planned to be shot extensively in Dubai. Along with Mammootty, the movie will have some other big stars as part of the cast. Gopi Sunder has been signed to handle the music department. Some other leading technicians from the industry will be associated with the movie.
‘Ameer’ is being produced by Sreelekshmi R and Shankar Raj R. Bhupen Tacho and Jeethu Goghi are the co-producers. An official announcement with details regarding the full cast and crew members will be made shortly.
