Manjima Mohan plays Vijay Sethupathi’s sister in Tughlaq Durbar
Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as a politician for the first time in his upcoming film ‘Tughlaq Durbar’. Directed by debutant Delhi Prasad Deenadayal, the film is a political satire. Aditi Rao Hydari plays the female lead in the movie. Malayali actress Manjima Mohan is also essaying a crucial character. She will be seen as Vijay Sethupathi’s sister in the film. Their brother-sister chemistry will be interesting to watch out for.
According to the makers, the movie has an out-and-out mass subject. Balaji Tharaneetharan, who has directed films like ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom’ and ‘Seethakaathi’, has penned the dialogues. Sethupathi plays a character named Singam. The story revolves around the transformation of a betrayer into a good person, and how Singam who distances himself from all things good, gradually changes and transforms into a better person. Veteran actor Parthiepan essays the antagonist’s role.
The film’s technical team has Manoj Paramahamsa as the DOP and Govind Vasantha as the music director. It is being produced jointly by 7 Screen Studio and Viacom 18.
