Mohanlal has completed his portions for ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’. Last day, the actor shared a blog in his social media handle informing the same. He shot for 104 days for the movie. This big scale project has a massive star cast and is being made as one of the most expensive films ever in the history of Malayalam cinema. All these factors increase the hype around the film.
The period flick based on the life of Kunjali Marakkar has actors from various industries from across the country. The cast comprises of Pranav Mohanlal, Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja, Keerthy Suresh, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Prabhu, Mukesh, Siddique, Ashok Selvan, Manju Warrier, Baburaj, Nedumudi Venu, Hareesh Perady, Nandu, Ganesh Kumar and Suresh Kumar.
‘Marakkar’ is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 100 crores. Mohanlal’s Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainment are jointly producing the movie. Apart from the star studded cast, the movie also has a solid technical crew. National award winner Tirru cranks the camera and Sabu Cyril is in charge of the production design. A Los Angeles based company is handling the VFX works.
A year long post-production works have been planned by the makers.
