Mohanlal didn’t even touch a tiger in Pulimurugan : G Sudhakaran
One of the most controversial faces in Kerala politics, Minister G Sudhakaran is at the centre of one again. Recently, the Minister has said that Mohanlal did not even touch a tiger while shooting for Pulimurugan.
He made the statement recently while addressing at the 50 years anniversary celebration of the classic movie Chemmeen. G Sudhakaran said, he is very sure that Mohanlal didn’t touch the tiger in Pulimurugan.
He added, “Nowadays, quality of movies are judged based on the production values. Movies should be more relatable to day to day life. More than the number of movies released, quality should be the priority.”
Pulimurugan is a story about a wild hunter who is known in the locality to put an end to man eating tigers. Mohanlal played the title character of the hunter. The team choreographed the action sequences with tigers under the supervision of Peter Hein in Vietnam.
Pulimurugan team had to face such remarks before also. Location stills from the movie, where Mohanlal was seen fighting with a dummy tiger was used to troll the movie in social medias. Director Vysakh later had to release a statement to clear airs about the allegations. The dummy tigers made with the actual weight and shape of the real tigers were used to get an idea about the length and camera angle before the actual shoot begins.
There were similar allegations about Mohanlal using dupes for the stunt sequences. Later the team proved the naysayers wrong releasing the making video of Mohanlal performing the stunts. He also performed the stunts live on stage, recently during an award night.
