Mohanlal movie Oppam eyeing the 50 crore club
Mohanlal is having a dream run in the box office. His latest release Pulimurugan is getting tremendous response with houseful shows in all the theatres. Meanwhile his Onam release Oppam is still going strong in the box office.
This crime thriller directed by ace filmmaker Priyadarshan had strong word of mouth working in its favour. Oppam has earlier become the fastest movie to enter the 30 crore club in Mollywood. Even with the massive release of Pulimurugan, Oppam is unshaken in the box office.
Oppam is now all set to enter the prestigious 50 crore club of Mollywood. Only movies like Drishyam, Ennu Ninte Moideen, Premam and 2 countries has previously crossed this mark.
As per the latest collection reports coming in from trade experts the worldwide collection of the film has crossed the 45 crore mark.
From Kerala the movie from has collected around 35 crore within a month from the release. The movie has also collected around 3.5 crore from the rest of India market.
In overseas markets like UK and USA , Oppam has grossed a some of over 1 crore from just 7 days. And from UAE, the collections are reported to be around 4.5 crore from just 3 days.
It is almost confirmed that Oppam will enter the 50 crore club anytime soon. With Pulimurugan also setting the cash register ring, Mohanlal once again stamps his authority as the box office King.
