Mohanlal’s Neerali pushed to June, to hit screens for Ramzan!
Mohanlal’s next release will be Neerali, directed by Ajoy Varma. Shoot for the movie was wrapped up month in quick time and the makers are currently busy with the post-production. Producer Santhosh T Kuruvilla had earlier said that Neerali will hit screens in May, but it is now being reported that release has been pushed to June.
If reports are to be believed, Neerali will hit screens on June 14 as a Ramzan release. Ramzan has always been a favorite season for filmmakers in Mollywood. It is a festive season, so a good opening is certainly on the cards.
Neerali an action thriller, scripted by newcomer Saju Thomas has Mohanlal playing the role of Sunny, a gemologist. Nadiya Moidu makes a comeback to Malayalam industry by playing his wife in the movie. She is paired opposite Mohanlal after a gap of three long decades and so their on-screen chemistry is something the audience are eagerly looking forward to.
Parvatii Nair, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dileesh Pothan and Nasser are also part of the movie’s supporting cast. Cinematography is handled by Santhosh Thundiyil and director Ajoy Varma himself is editing the movie. Stephen Devassy is composing music for the movie. There will be three songs in total out of which one, a duet track, has been sung by Mohanlal and Shreya Ghoshal.
Neerali is being produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment, and co-produced by John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikdan. Let’s wait for the official announcement regarding the release date.
