Moved by Peranbu, singer Venugopal pens an emotional note
Mammotty starrer Peranbu continues to get excellent response from the audience, particularly in Kerala. The movie has already found widespread critical praise for director Ram’s poignant storytelling and the superlative performances of the two lead actors – Mammootty and Sadhana. Recently, playback singer G Venugopal happened to watch the movie and penned an emotional note on it. His Facebook post reads,
Theres a sentence Mammutty says in Peranbu… “Find me a place where there are no human beings, where birds dont die”. That summarises the movie in short. As cruel, loving, ruthless, depressive, unpredictable, as nature. Usually we get a movie shrinking to an actor’s histrionic abilities. Here we have a great actor filling out into the vast expanse of a brilliant movie script. Ram, Ram, Ram, the director and script writer, Sadhana, as the spastic child, and Mammutty, i simply dont know how to grade them. Wept a couple of times, reminded me of Pavitra, my niece. Shook me out of my comfort zones at times. Thank God, we still have such movies that showcase silence amidst all the din and fury around. A silence that scripts a new order, a new order of humanity. A kindness that perhaps the happy ones of our society may not be able to furnish. It also reinforced my faith in the dilapidated minds, the crushed souls, who are often swept to the outskirts of a society. ” They also serve who only stand and wait”.
