Namita launches a new OTT platform; Names it Namita Theatre
South Indian actress Namita has launched a new streaming platform. Named as Namita Theatre, the platform is aimed at supporting small producers who can release their movies and premiere content that are made based on true incidents. The company has Namita as the brand partner and Ravi Varma as the managing director.
In a statement, Namita said that the film fraternity and people of Tamil Nadu has endowed her with fame and appreciations across the years and she always wanted to give something back. It was Ravi Varma, a graduate with Film Technology who later ventured into several corporate businesses, who suggested to her an OTT Platform that completely promotes and exhibits content that is made based on true incidents. The team is now looking forward to a perfect date to make the official announcement regarding the first league of contents that will be released on Namita Theatre.
Though Namita was more active in Tamil, she has worked in all the four South Indian industries. After a brief gap, she is now eyeing to make a comeback with a multilingual film titled ‘Bow Wow’. The film written and directed by RL Ravi and Mathew Scaria is inspired by a true survival story. Namitha plays a blogger in the film, which is a suspense thriller that also has a dog as a central character. Namita is making her debut a producer with this film. Her own production house is jointly funding it along with Subash S Nath of S Nath Films.
