National award winner Minon to play the role of late Abhimanyu in ‘Naan Petta Makan’; Here’s the motion poster
The story of 20-year-old Abhimanyu, who lost his life three months back in Maharajas College, is set to be told on big screen. The movie titled as ‘Naan Petta Makan’ will have Minon John playing Abhimanyu’s role. Newbie Saji S Palamel is directing the movie. A motion poster introducing Minon as Abhimanyu has been released online.

The movie was officially announced last day in an emotional press meet held in Trivandrum. The press meet was attended by Minon, director Saji S Palamel, Abhimanyu’s parents Manoharan and Bhoopathy, friends, neighbors and some other important people. CPI (M) Polit Bureau member MA Baby was the chief guest.
Abhimanyu M, an undergraduate student at Maharaja’s College, was stabbed to death during a clash on the college campus around 12.45 AM on July 2. He was an activist of the Students Federation of India (SFI). Abhimanyu’s murder will remain as a dark chapter in the history of Kerala’s student politics.
When his story is brought alive on screen, the makers have a big task ahead of them.
While Minon plays Abhimanyu’s role, State Award winner Indrans will be appearing in his father’s role.
Minon is best known for his National award winning performance in ‘101 Chodyangal’. Shoot for ‘Naan Petta Makan’ will be commencing in November. The makers have planned to shoot majorly in Ernakulam and Abhimanyu’s hometown, Vattavada.
