Nayanthara to play the lead in this super hit filmmaker’s next
Nayanthara is easily the most wanted actress in South Indian cinema. She enjoys massive popularity all across the South and is rightly called the ‘Lady superstar’.
The actress has a handful of projects in her kitty and has now signed for yet another one.
Director Arivazhagan, a former assistant to Shankar, has roped in Nayanthara for his next film. It will be a psychological thriller. Unlike other heroines, Nayanthara is very particular about her character’s prominence in the movie’s storyline. She commits only those movies that offer her scope for performance.
Announcing the project via his Twitter timeline, Arivazhagan said that he wants to exploit the stardom of Nayanthara and present her in a completely new style.
The director is known for his films like Eeram, Vallinam, Aarathu Sinam (remake of Memories) and this year’s superhit movie Kuttram 23.
Nayanthara has a long list of films lined up in her kitty. Ajay Gnanamuthu’s Imaikka Nodigal, Gopi Nainar’s Aramm, Mohan Raja’s Velaikkaran, Chakri Toleti’s Kolaiyudhir Kaalam, Telugu superstar Balakrishna’s 101st film, Dhyan Sreenivasan’s Love Action Drama with Nivin Pauly and debutant Nelson Dilipkumar’s Co Co are some of her movies in the pipeline. Recently, the actress was also signed to play the female lead in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s multilingual period film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
