There is no shortage of movie offers just beacuse I’m married: Anu Sithara
In Indian cienma, especially in the South, heroines tend to leave the industry immediately after their marriage. This has been the case for several leading actresses. Only a very few actresses like Kajol and Aishwarya Rai are still active in the industry post their marriage.
But Anu Sithara has been a revelation in that aspect. In fact, in her case she became more established in the industry only after her marriage. In a recent interview, the actress said that she does not find any difference in the industry insiders’ approach towards her just because she is married. She already has a handful of projects in his kitty and still offers are coming her way. Anu
stresses that her marital status has not had any effect in her getting more opportunities.
Her last release was Ranjith Sankar- Kunchacko Boban’s romantic drama Ramante Edanthottam. Her character Malini is a bold and independent woman who is in stark contrast to the usual glam doll female leads that we see in mainstream these days. Anu’s performance in the movie was appreciated by the critics. It is not often that heroines get such solid roles and the actress ensured that she does not let go the opportunity.
Anu Sithara first grabbed the audience attention in Omar Lulu’s Happy Wedding. Her upcoming releases are Sarvopari Palakkaran, Captain and Naval Enna Jewel.
