Not Mammootty, it’s Bollywood actor Nana Patekar in Rajinikanth’s Kaala
We had earlier confirmed that Mammootty is not a part of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie Kaala. Sources close to the megastar had dismissed the reports as some wild imaginations by the medias.
But according to trustworthy reports, another leading actor from the country will be seen in a pivotal role in the movie. Three time National award winner Nana Patekar is playing the antagonist in Kaala. He will be seen in the role of a cunning politician who works against the interest of Tamils in Mumbai, who are headed by Rajinikanth’s Kaala.
Shoot for the movie is progressing at a brisk pace in Mumbai. The movie, directed by Kabali director Pa Ranjith is a gangster drama set in the backdrop of Mumbai city.

Kaala, which comes with the tagline Karikalan, is about a guy from Tirunelveli, who runs away in his childhood to Mumbai to become a powerful don living in the slums of Dharavi. Rajinikanth is playing the titular role in the movie. Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi has been roped in to play the female lead. Samuthirakani, Anjali Patil, Sukanya and Sampath Raj will be seen in pivotal roles.
Rajinikanth’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush is producing this gangster flick under his banner Wunderbar Films. Kaala will be dubbed and released in Hindi and Telugu as well. The makers are planning to wrap up the shoot by the end of the year and are planning to release it by mid 2018.
