Official: Here’s the new release date of Prithviraj’s Nine
Prithviraj’s highly ambitious flick ‘Nine’ aka ‘9’ is eagerly awaited by Malayali cinephiles. The movie which also marks his maiden production venture is being made on a lavish budget. Sony Pictures International Productions is making their entry to Mollywood by jointly funding this project. It is written and directed by Jenuse Mohamed, who made his debut with the rom-com ‘100 Days of Love’.
Nine was scheduled to hit screens on November 16 but it has now been postponed as post-production works are still pending. The movie will be hitting screens only on February 7. According to Prithviraj, Nine’s core is a father-son relationship. It is being made as a science horror and the actor assures that it will be a new experience for the Malayali audience.
The movie also has Wamiqa Gabbi, Mamta Mohandas and Prakash Raj in major roles. It also has a solid technical crew. Abhinandan Ramanujam, well known for his works in movies like ‘Amen’ and ‘Mosayile Kuthirameenukal’ has cranked the camera and edits are handled by Shameer Muhammed. Shaan Rahman is composing the songs while ‘Da Thadiya’ actor Sekhar Menon composes the original music score.
