Oppam is not a copy or remake of any other movie, says Priyadarshan
Director Priyadarshan is all set for a great comeback after some failures he had in recent times. For that he is coming this time with none other than his best friend and the biggest star in Mollywood, Mohanlal. The film titled Oppam had finished filming and now the post production on its full swing at Chennai.
The editing works are going on now at Four Frames Studio Chennai and Priyadarshan is very much hopeful about this upcoming project, which will be an Onam release here in Mollywood. Priyadarshan had made films in Mollywood taking inspirations from foreign language films and he had done many remakes. But he says that Oppam is a fresh creation and it is not a copy or remake of any movies.

There were some rumors spreading that Oppam is also an adaptation of some Hollywood film. But Priyadarshan had refuted all those allegations by saying that it is his own creation and no one has any claim on it. Priyadarshan had said that no one can accuse him of copying when it comes to Oppam as he had made a genuine screenplay out of the single line story that heard from the debutant Govind Vijayan.
