Parvathy Menon to enter Bollywood
Parvathy Menon, the hot and happening female star in Malayalam has bagged a biggie. She is planning to enter Bollywood through an upcoming movie directed by scriptwriter Tanuja Chandra of Dil toh Pagal Hai fame.
Irfan Khan who has made a mark in Hollywood through his impeccable acting skills, will be playing the lead role in this movie. The film is said to to be a romantic comedy, and the protagonists apparently fall in love with each other, during a road trip. Rishikesh, Gangtok and Bikaner would be the shooting locations of the film.
Parvathy Menon in her comeback has given some praiseworthy performances in Tamil and Malayalam. Her performance as Panimalar in Maryan alongside Dhanush won rave reviews from the critics. Next year, her portrayal of the disabled yet cheerful RJ Sarah in Anjali Menon’s Bangalore Days was highly appreciated.
In 2015, she was part of two movies in Malayalam- Ennu Ninte Moideen (ENM) and Charlie. She played the real life character of Kanchanamala, a love smitten- lion hearted woman in ENM. In Charlie, she essayed the role of Tessa, a graphic artist trying to meet a carefree vagabond about whom she had heard many interesting stories.
Both the characters, Kanchanamala and Tessa, were like chalk and cheese, but Parvathy was upto the task and gave incredible performances that was right up there with her male counterparts. Fittingly, she won the State Award that year for the best actress.
She will be next seen in My Story, an intense romantic movie set in Poland. Directed by debutante Roshni Dinaker, the movie features her ENM co-star Prithviraj as the male lead.
These performances down South made heads turn and helped her bag a role in Bollywood and that too opposite an actor like Irfan Khan. More details regarding the cast and crew members of this yet-to-be-titled is still awaited.
