Prabhu Deva to play a major role in Kamal Haasan-Lokesh film Vikram
As announced earlier, Kamal Haasan is teaming up with the highly promising Lokesh Kanagaraj for a new film titled ‘Vikram’. The superstar’s own production house Raaj Kamal Film International (RKFI) is producing the film, which is planned as a summer 2021 release planned to go on floors in early before the general elections.
As per latest reports, actor-filmmkar Prabhu Deva has been roped in to play a major role in the film. If it is true, Kamal and Prabhu Deva will be sharing screen space after 23 long years. They last worked together in the 1998 hit comedy film ‘Kadhala Kadhala’. Earlier, there were also rumours about the makers of ‘Vikram’ approaching Malayali actor Fahadh Faasil to play the villain role. However, there has been no confirmation yet.
‘Vikram’ is said to be a spin-off of Kamal Hassan’s character from the 1986 film of the same name. Even in the title teaser of the new film, the same iconic background score from the yesteryear film was reused. Anirudh Ravichander is the composer.
