Prakash Raj to sport 3 different looks for his character Ravunni in Odiyan!

Mohanlal’s Odiyan has been in the news ever since it went on floors in Varanasi last year. Every single information about the movie has been lapped up by the audience. Ad filmmaker VA Shrikumar Menon is making his directorial debut with this movie, produced by Aashirvad Cinemas. The movie based on the life of Odiyans is scripted by National award winner Harikrishnan.

The team is currently on a break after wrapping up the first two schedules. The third and final leg of shoot will kick-start by mid-February. Mohanlal had recently shed around 18 kgs to sport a young look in this upcoming schedule. Now it is being reported that Manju Warrier and Prakash Raj will also be sporting new looks. The latter is playing a very prominent character, Ravunni, and he will be appearing in three different getups in the movie.

Odiyan is a fantasy thriller that will have a mix of action, romance and magical realism. The movie is primarily about Odividya, a kind of black magic and people who practice it, called odiyans. Mohanlal plays the role of odiyan Manikyan, who is said to be the last living odiyan in the world. The story is set in three different timelines starting from the pre-electricty days in the 1950s to 2000. The movie follows Manikyan’s life from his childhood to his 60s.

Manju Warrier and Prakash Raj will also be seen sporting three different looks in the movie. Manju will be seen in her late 20s, mid 30s and in her 50s. Hers is a vital character that comes throughout the film as Mohanlal’s and Prakash Raj’s roles are centred around her.

Odiyan’s technical crew includes India’s leading stunt master Peter Hein. Pulimurugan’s cinematographer Shaji Kumar is wielding the camera and Sreekar Prasad is handling the edits. Around 70 days of shoot is left and the movie is expected to hit screens for this year’s Onam.
