Pranav prefers to do characters that he can relate to: Arun Gopy
As we already know, director Arun Gopy, who made an highly impressive debut with ‘Ramaleela’ is teaming up with Pranav Mohanlal for his next. Tomichan Mulakupadam is producing the movie under his banner Mulakupadam Films. This upcoming movie is said to be a romantic-action entertainer.
Expectations are high among the audience since both Arun Gopy and Pranav have started off their careers with blockbuster hits. Arun Gopy who has been close with Pranav since his days as an assistant director understands the youngster completely. In a recent interview, he opened up about how Pranav prefers to do relatable characters and how his line of thinking is different from others.
Arun Gopy is quoted saying, “Pranav prefers to do characters that he can relate to. That’s why the roles he chooses are more or less an extension of himself. For him, acting is reacting and behaving. He doesn’t want to do over-the-top sequences and likes subtle acting.”
Pre-production works including location scouting and casting process is still progressing. The makers are on the look for a girl from the age group of 18-24 to play Pranav’s pair in the movie. The first round of auditions was held in Dubai last month and a second round is scheduled to be held in Kochi on April 21.
Official announcement of the movie’s title and details regarding the full cast and crew is expected to be made very soon. It is reported that the movie will start rolling in Kochi by July. Apparently, the makers are planning to wrap up the shoot by November to ensure a grand release for this year’s Christmas season.
