Prithviraj and Vimaanam director to team up for another movie titled Meter Gauge 1904
Prithviraj has a long list of projects stacked in his kitty. Arguably the busiest actor in M Town, Prithviraj has signed for yet another film. He is teaming up with Pradeep M Nair,t the director of his upcoming Vimaanam for a new movie titled ‘Meter Gauge 1904’.
The actor took to his official social media handle to announce the project, which looks like another ambitious one. About the film, Prithviraj has written,
Entangled between history, fiction, love and the wonder that is human ingenuity..lies the story of Engineer Kuruvila, and how he made the impossible possible for love!
The first look poster features a train passing over a rail bridge amidst a forest like backdrop. A tiger and elephant is also seen in the poster. So, from the title and poster we presume that Meter Gauge 1904 is the story of engineer Kuruvila who probably works in the Indian Railways.
Prithviraj defines this movie as a long cherished dream that he shared with director Pradeep. He did not reveal when the movie when actually go on floors as it requires humongous amounts of research and preparations. And unlike the trend in Mollywood these days, Prithviraj does not wish to see the film known by its budget. More details regarding the film is expected to be announced in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the much talked about Vimaanam is finally gearing up for release. The movie is inspired from the life of Saji Thomas, a speech and hearing person who who built an aircraft on his own. Prithviraj is playing the role of a deaf and mute person in the movie. Though it is inspired from Saji’s life, Vimaanam not exactly a biopic. Listin Stephen has produced the movie under his banner Magic Frames. An official word regarding the release date is still awaited.
Prithviraj is currently shooting for Anjali Menon’s upcoming movie also starring Nazriya Nazim and Parvathy. He had recently wrapped up shooting for debutant Nirmal Sahadev’s Ranam aka Detroit Crossing. The final schedule of Roshni Dinaker’s My Story, his directorial debut Lucifer and Blessy’s Aadujeevitham are some of his upcoming commitments.
