“Proud to be directed by a legend”, Pratap Pothen on being part of Mohanlal’s directorial debut Barroz
Mohanlal’s directorial debut ‘Barroz’ is all set to go on floors in March. The film’s pre-production including massive set works are progressing in Kochi. While Mohanlal himself plays the lead role in the film, the supporting cast mostly comprises of foreign actors from US, Spain, Portugal and Ghana. Veteran actor Pratap Pothen is the only one from Malayalam industry to join the team so far. He had earlier informed he plays the role of a voodoo doll in the film.
Last day, Pothen shared a photo taken with Mohanlal during one of their discussion sessions as part of ‘Barroz’. He has written that he feels proud to be directed by a legend like Mohanlal, who is a complete actor and a wonderful human being. Pothen’s post reads,
With the best .. I am proud to be directed by a legend Mohanlal he is a rare talent a complete actor and a wonderful human being thank you for having me be a part of your maiden effort as a director ..I am blessed.. Baroz (sic)
‘Barroz’ is an ambitious 3D-fantasy flick scripted by Jijo Punnoose, the visionary filmmaker who made India’s first 3D film ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’. Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer and production design is handled by Santhosh Raman. 13-year-old child prodigy Lydian Nadhaswaram is composing music for the film. Antony Perumbavoor is producing it under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
