Pulimurugan makes its entry to the 100 crore club !
Malayalam cinema’s biggest blockbuster Pulimurugan is still running successfully in theatres even after a month from its release.
We had earlier reported that the movie had collected 60 crore from the Kerala Box Office. All India collections for the movie accounts to approximately 77 crores.
From UAE region the movie has collected 9.82 crores, Bahrain -1.09 crore, Kuwiat -91.45 lakhs, Qatar -1.13 crore, Oman -86.10 lakhs. Together that makes a total collection of 13.83 crores from the Gulf countries in 3 days.
Prior to the release itself Pulimurugan had made a business of over 15 crores from the satellite, audio and overseas distribution rights. That makes it a total business of around 105 crores.
Now officially posters have been launched claiming that the movie has become the first Malayalam movie to have done a business of 100 crores.
Overseas collections from many centres in Europe have not yet been officially announced.
Mohanlal, director Vysakh, writer Udhayakrishna, action choreographer Peter Hein and producer Tomichan Mulakupadam and the whole team of Pulimurugan deserves appreciation for making the movie such a gargantuan success.
Since the makers have now launched the posters, it is official that the movie has done a business of over 100 crores. This is truly a historic moment in Malayalam cinema and a moment of pride for all the cine goers in the state.
