Randamoozham getting ready as the biggest motion picture ever produced in Asia!
As we already know, MT Vasudevan Nair’s award winning novel Randamoozham is getting a movie adaptation with superstar Mohanlal playing the central character of Bheemasenan. ‘Odiyan’ director VA Shrikumar Menon is set to direct this epic film. UAE based businessman Dr BR Shetty is investing a whopping Rs 1000 crores for the project. Pre-production works including casting process have been progressing for nearly two years now.
Seems like they are nearing completion and we can expect a massive announcement soon. Last day, director Shrikumar Menon took to social medias to inform the same. He has written,
“To friends who Are eager to know about the casting of randamoozham. As u all know this is a film which has more than 100 characters and it’s the biggest motion picture ever produced in Asia. U can imagine the big process involved in casting and pre prdn. Big news will come soon”
Recently, the director along with producer BR Shetty were in Chicago to meet some technicians and discuss about the film. Randamoozham aka The Mahabharatha is expected to go on floors by mid 2019. MT’s novel is actually based on the Indian epic Mahabharatha, told from the perspective of Bheemasenan.
Leading actors from Indian cinema and Hollywood are said to be part of the movie. The makers have hired a foreign casting agency to find suitable actors to play the host of characters in Mahabharatha. The movie is being planned as a multilingual in English, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages. It will also have dubbed versions in all major Indian and foreign languages. This epic film bas been planned to be made in two parts like the ‘Baahubali’ series.
