Roopesh Peethambaran is now trim and slim for Oru Mexican Aparatha
Roopesh Peethambaran who has earlier played the younger part of Aadu Thoma in the cult movie Spadikam is back to face the camera after a gap of 21 years. Roopesh Peethambaran is acting alongside Tovino Thomas in the campus movie Oru Mexican Aparatha. Oru Mexican Aparatha is based on events happening in Maharajas College in the 80s.
Recently the actor has put in great efforts for playing the part by shedding few kilos. In his facebook post, Roopesh Peethambaran has said that he has lost around 20 kgs for the movie. He has also thanked co-star Tovino Thomas and Unni Mukundan for encouraging him to get in shape. Looks like the actor is all excited to play the role.
In Oru Mexican Aparatha, Roopesh Peethambaran is said to be playing a negative character opposite Tovino Thomas. From the promos, it is believed that Tovino Thomas will be playing a SFI activist and Roopesh is playing the role of a KSU student leader.

Roopesh Peethambaran has also directed two movies to his credit. His first movie was Theevram, a crime thriller starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. Theevram received a lot of critical acclaim for the attempt. His next movie was a multi starrer with Asif Ali, Sreenivasan, Tovino Thomas, Anu Mohan, Honey Rose and Rachana Narayanankutty playing the lead roles.
Oru Mexican Aparatha is directed by Tom Emmatty and co written by Jude Anthany Joseph. The team had earlier released a promo song “Katta Kalippu” sung by Neruppu da fame Arun Raja Kamaraja. The song was well received for its making and has created a buzz among the audience.
