Saira Banu is even better than Nirupama Rajeev : Rosshan Andrrews
Debutant Antony Sony’s C/O Saira Banu, released on March 17, is doing good business in the box office. Families have lapped up the movie with critics rating it with a thumbs up. The movie is scripted by RJ Shaan and dialogues are written by Bipin Chandran.
Manju Warrier is playing the titular role in this movie which also features yesteryear actress Amala Akkineni and Kismath fame Shane Nigam in major roles. Amala Akkineni has made a comeback to Mollywood after a gap of over two decades through this movie. Mohanlal has also lent his voice for Shane Nigam’s father’s character.
Popular director Rosshan Andrrews in his Facebook page, posted a video congratulating the team for the success. In the video, the director has said that C/O Saira Banu is an outstanding movie. He congratulated Antony Sony, who he felt has made the movie with the maturity and conviction of a 10 film film director. Roshan also appreciated Manju Warrier and said that she has once again proved that no one else can replace her. It must be remembered that Roshan was the one who directed Manju Warrier’s comeback movie, How Old Are You.
According to him, Saira Banu is even better than Nirupama Rajeev from How Old Are You. The director also had a word of appreciation for Shane Nigam for his superb performance. He concluded the video by hoping that Malayali audience will keep supporting such good movies.
Manju Warrier has played the role of a post woman in the movie while Shane Nigam is her adopted son, Joshua Peter. He is a law college student who is passionate about photography. He wishes to become a photographer just like his father. However, he gets caught in legal trouble and how Saira Banu rescues him forms the rest of the plot. Amala Akkineni is seen in the role of advocate Annie John Tharavady in the movie.
Abdul Rahim has cranked the camera while Sagar Dass is in charge of the edits. Mejo Joseph is the music director. The movie is produced by Eros International.
