Samyuktha Menon in VK Prakash’s bilingual film Erida
VK Prakash is set to helm a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual film titled ‘Erida’. Samyuktha Menon will be seen playing the lead role in the film along with Nassar and Kishore. It looks like a female centric film as the title poster comes with the tagline, ‘A Tale of a Goddess in Love’. YV Rajesh, who has scripted films like ‘Romanas’ ‘Georgettan’s Pooram’ and ‘Vikadakumaran’, is penning this film as well. He has previously collaborated with VK Prakash in ‘Marubhoomiyile Aana’, ‘Gulumaal’ and ‘3 Kings’.
‘Erida’ has S Loganathan as the cinematographer and Abhijith Shylanath as the music director. Suresh Urs is the editor and Art department will be handled by Ajay Mangad. Ajji Meddayil and Aroma Babu are joining producing the film under the banner of Aroma Cinemas And Good Company.
VK Prakash has multiple other projects in various stages of production. His debut Kannada film ‘Vishnupriya’ starring Priya Varrier and Malayalam film ‘Oruthee’ that marks the comeback of Navya Nair are in the post-production phase.
VK Prakash is also reuniting with his frequent collaborator Anoop Menon for a film titled ‘Oru Nalpathukarante Irupathiyonnkaari’. Anoop Menon and Priya Varrier are playing the lead roles in the film that is yet to start rolling. The director had also announced that he would be making the E Sreedharan biopic ‘Rama Sethu’ with Jayasurya in the lead.
