Screen count increased for Driving Licence owing to the excellent audience response!
Prithviraj-Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer ‘Driving Licence’ hit screens on December 20 as a Christmas release. The film had to compete with four other Malayalam films and a couple from other languages. After a week, it is safe to say that ‘Driving Licence’ has emerged as the winner at the Kerala box office. While the film was originally released in around 150 screens, the count has now been increased to more thanks to the excellent response.
‘Driving Licence’ is directed by Jean Paul Lal and scripted by Sachy. So far, the film has got positive response from all corners. Critic reviews have also been encouraging with special mention for the performance of its two lead actors. Inspired by the stellar response in Kerala, top stars from other languages have approached ‘Driving Licence’ team for the remake rights.
Leading stars from Telugu and Tamil film industries have expressed interest to remake the film in their languages. It must be noted that the film has a very interesting storyline with an universal appeal. It is primarily centred around two individuals – a film star and his ardent fan, who is a motor vehicle inspector. It is a perfect remake material and we can expect to see an official announcement soon.
‘Driving Licence’ meanwhile is having good occupancy at all centres. It is certain to have a long run at the box office.
