Film stars are the ones which gives most of the amounts to the relief funds and also trying their best to help Chennai through whatever way they can. Now as per the latest report, Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan is declared that he will donate the first day gross collection of his upcoming release named Dilwale directed by Rohit Shetty , to the relief fund of Chennai disaster.
It is a much anticipated film and the first day gross of the film is expected to be around 40 crores. If the report that came in is true and Shahrukh Khan kept his word, then it will be the highest donation in terms of amount to the Chennai flood relief fund. We still don’t know the authenticity of this report as it is doing its round in social media in the name of some popular national news channel.
Some are already came against this saying that it is another marketing strategy by the King Khan to promote his film and nothing more than that. But we have to know the fact also that Shahrukh Khan was honored by UNESCO once for his charity activities. So he may not be cheating or somewhat in the name of a natural disaster. Some says that even if it is for promotion, if he give half of the first day gross of his film Dilwale to the Chennai Flood Relief Fund, then it will be a great contribution to the city of Chennai.
Rohit Shetty had earlier made a film with Shahrukh in the lead and it was titled as Chennai Express and shot many scenes at Tamil Nadu as well. The Kerala distribution of the film Dilwale has been taken up by Sun Ads and Film Production Company who had successfully distributed Malayalam Film Ayal Njanalla and Tamil film Urumeen here in Kerala.
