Stand Up deals with a topic that is socially relevant and needs to be addressed: Rajisha Vijayan
‘Stand Up’ starring Nimisha Sajayan and Rajisha Vijayan in the leads is gearing up for release. The film is slated to hit screens on November 29. It is directed by Vidhu Vincent, who is the only woman to win a Kerala State award for best filmmaker. Vidhu won the award for her debut film ‘Manhole’. Unlike her maiden film, ‘Stand Up’ is a mainstream commercial film.
In a recent interview with us, lead actress Rajisha sounded very confident about the film. When asked about the factors that attracted her to the film, Rajisha said it was the unique premise of stand up comedy that primarily interested her. Moreover, the film deals with a very relevant social issue that she believes should not be just confined to social media hashtags but needs to addressed. She urged everyone to watch the film along with families.
‘Stand Up’ is scripted by Umesh Omanakuttan. The film also stars Arjun Ashokan, Venkitesh, Nisthar Sait, Seema, Sajitha Madathil, Jolly Chirayath, Rajesh Sharma, Sunil Sukhada and Divya Gopinathan. Its technical crew comprises of cinematographer Tobin Thomas, music director Varkey and editor Christy Sebastian. It is produced by B Unnikrishnan and Anto Joseph.
