Suriya and Karthi donate Rs 10 lakhs to FEFSI workers suffering due to Corona virus lockdown
Like every other field, film industries across the country have been severely hit due to the Corona virus outbreak. While top actors and technicians can afford to take a break and spend time at home, it is the daily wage labourers who are suffering big time. Lending a helping hand to them is the Sivakumar family from Tamil film industry. Actors Suriya and Karthi have decided to donate Rs 10 lakh to the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) to help the thousands of employees who have lost work due to the virus scare.
Let's all stay home and stay safe🙏#IndiaFightsCorona#Vijayabaskar @#TNDeptofHealth #MoHFW_INDIA

It is indeed a very generous gesture from the family to aid the industry workers. It remains to be seen of more celebrities get inspired by their act and come forward to help the working class of the film industry. The Sivakumar family is well known for their philanthropist activities. They head the Agaram Foundation which helps underprivileged students to go for higher studies and the Uzhavan Foundation that goes to the aid of the farmers.
