Thalapathy 66: Vijay to team up with Theeran, Valimai director H Vinoth?
Vijay is currently basking in the success of ‘Master’ that is having a phenomenal run at the box office. As already reported, his next film (Thalapathy 65) will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of ‘Kolamavu Kokila’ fame. Sun Pictures is producing the film, which is scheduled to go on floors by April.
Meanwhile, Vijay is also hearing scripts for his next after Nelson’s film. A section of Kollywood medias are reporting that director H Vinoth is one of the frontrunners to helm ‘Thalapathy 66’. The young filmmaker is popular for his films like ‘Sathuranga Vettai’, ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’ and ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’, the Tamil remake of acclaimed Hindi film, ‘Pink’. Vinoth is currently working on ‘Valimai’, a big-budget action film starring Thala Ajith. Expectations are huge on this film that has been in the making for over a year.
Apparently, Vinoth had approached Vijay with a political script right after the release of ‘Sarkar’. However, the star denied it as he was not very keen on doing back to back political films. It is not sure if the two are once again in talks for the same project.
A confirmation is expected to be made in the coming weeks.
