‘Thudarum’ Crosses ₹50 Crore Worldwide in Just 3 Days: Mohanlal’s Film Set to Hit ₹70 Crore Milestone Soon
Tharun Moorthy’s Family crime drama “Thudarum”, starring the iconic Mohanlal has created a massive storm at the box office. After a strong opening with ₹17 crore+ on Day 1 and ₹25 crore on Day 2, the film accumulated a staggering ₹42 crore+ worldwide in just two days. On its third day, “Thudarum” crossed the ₹50 crore worldwide mark even before noon, making it the second fastest Malayalam film ever to achieve this feat—only behind Mohanlal’s own “Empuraan”, which had reached the 100-crore mark in just two days.
Produced by M. Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media, “Thudarum” tells the emotional and thrilling story of Shanmugham, a taxi driver whose life takes a shocking turn following an incident with his beloved car. Along with Mohanlal’s majestic performance, Shobana, Farhaan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu, and Prakash Varma (as the villain) have also been widely praised. The film boasts stunning cinematography by Shaji Kumar, soulful music by Jakes Bejoy, and sharp editing by Nishadh Yusuf and Shafeeque V. B.
By the end of its third day, “Thudarum” is expected to gross around ₹70 crore worldwide. In Kerala alone, the film has grossed ₹12 crore+ in two days and is on track to cross ₹22 crore by day three, further underlining Mohanlal’s unbeatable box office pull.
