Tovino to play a police officer in his next titled ‘Kalki’; Here’s the first look
Tovino Thomas, who is on a dream run with a string films under his belt, has announced his next. The movie titled as ‘Kalki’ will have him playing a police officer. The title poster, that has been released today, indicates an action packed entertainer. Praveen Prabharam, who was assistant in films like Second Show and Theevandi, is making his directorial debut with this movie. Praveen has also scripted the movie jointly with Sujin Sujathan.
The technical crew includes Gautham Sankar, who cranked the camera in ‘Theevandi’, and editor Renjith Kuzhur. Manoj Poomkunnam is the production controller. Suvin K Krishna and Prasobh Krishna are producing the movie under the banner of Little Big Films. More details regarding the other cast members and when the movie goes on floors are expected to be announced shortly.
Kalki will be Tovino’s third film as a police man after Ezra and Tharangam. The actor has had a great couple of years with some memorable hits like ‘Mayaanadhi’ and ‘Maradona’. His latest release, ‘Theevandi’ is also doing great bussiness in the box office. His performance as the chain-smoker Bineesh Damodaran has earned him appreciation from the critics and commoners alike.
Currently, Tovino is shooting for the Prithviraj directorial ‘Lucifer’, starring Mohanlal in the lead. He also has ‘Luca’ with debutant Arun Bose, Salim Ahamed’s ‘And the Oscar goes to’ and an untitled travel film with director Jeo Baby. His next to hit screens will be Madhupal’s ‘Oru Kuprasidha Payyan’.
