I try not to repeat my father : Dulquer Salmaan
Dulquer Salmaan is currently busy with a handful of projects with some exciting directors. The actor is in Texas, USA shooting for Amal Neerad’s movie.
During a recent interview, the actor shared his excitement shooting with directors who have earlier made movies his father, Megastar Mammootty.
He has acted in movies directed by Amal Neerad, Martin Prakkat, Mani Ratnam, Anwar Rasheed, all of whom have directed his father.
Interestingly, some of these directors made their entry to film industry through Mammootty’s movies; Martin Prakkat through Best Actor, Amal Neerad with Big B and Anwar Rasheed with Rajamanikyam.
Dulquer’s next release Jomonte Suvisheshangal is directed by senior director Sathyan Anthikad who has also made some wonderful movies with Mammootty.
The actor feels that life comes a full circle everytime he acts with directors who have also made movies with his father.
He also said he always tries not to repeat his father. “As an actor, everyone is different. I think people draw parallels when you entertain them in similar ways.
I don’t think I entertain like my dad. I have always tried being myself. So, I haven’t heard them compare me with my dad”, said Dulquer. He also added that his father has a style statement that he can never match.
Both Dulquer and Mammootty are known for their amazing fashion sense and the way they carry themselves both on-screen and offscreen.
Jomonte Suvisheshangal is releasing on December 16. Anupama Parameswaran and Aiswarya Rajesh play the female leads opposite Dulquer in this movie.
