The news is already known to everyone that Mega star Mammootty is all set to do the role of a sculptor in a film directing by the veteran director Kamal and now the name of the film is also out and it will be Uttopyayile Rajavu . The film will be financed by Haseeb Haneef and Noushad Kannur under the banner of Grand film corporation. It will be distributed by Mammootty’s own film company named playhouse release. And Mammootty is joining hands with Kamal after the gap of 9 years and their last outing was the film named Karutha Pakshikal which has released way back in the year of 2006.
This film will start rolling on May 14 at locations of Thodupuzha and Jewel Mary will be the female lead in this film. As you all know she is the one who was the female lead of Mammootty’s film Pathemary which is directing y the national award winning director Salim Ahammad and it happened to be her debut film as well which will come to you shortly. And the other artists is going to work along with Mammootty and Jewel Mary in this film are Nandu, Sunil Sugada, Joy Mathew, Pashanam Shaji (Saju Navodaya), etc. Popular lyricist Rafeeq Ahammad wrote the lyrics for the tunes created by Ouseppachan for this film.
The one who is popular for his script for the Lijo Jose Pellissery film named Aamen, Mr.P S Rafeeq had written the screenplay of the film and Mammootty is doing the role of a sculptor for the very first time in his career. Kamal and Mammootty had done 4 films together and they were Mazhayethum Munpe, Azhakiya Ravanan, Karutha Pakshikal and Rappakal. Out of these 4 Mazhayethum Munpe and Rappakal was the o box office successes they had. Azhakiya Ravanan even though has a great following now -a -days was a failure at box office during the time it graced the screens of Kerala.
Their last outing Karutha Pakshikal got good critical appreciation but not a one which made any mark at the box office. Their 2005 film Rappakal got an average success at box office in which Mammootty and actress Sharada played the lead roles. Fans and film lovers hoping that May be the new film by this team may make a big mark at box office.
