Uyare to be screened at International Children’s Film Festival of Kerala
Parvathy starrer ‘Uyare’ continues to make all the right noises. The movie is garnering unanimously positive response from all corners. Directed by Manu Ashokan and scripted by Bobby-Sanjay, ‘Uyare’ tells the inspiring story of an acid attack survivor. Ever since its release on April 26, the movie has been getting words of appreciation from critics and commoners alike.
‘Uyare’ has now been selected for screening at the International Children’s Film Festival of Kerala, which is scheduled to be held from May 10 to 16 in Thiruvananthapuram. It has been selected as the inaugural film at the prestigious festival. The screening will be held in Kariali theatre on May 10 at 4.30 PM.
The makers have penned a thanks note to the organizers for selecting ‘Uyare’ to be screened at the festival. The Facebook post reads,
We are extremely delighted to be a part of of the International Children’s Film Festival of Kerala, 2019. Uyare will be screened as the inaugural film at the prestigious festival. Thank you for this honor.
Earlier, the Kerala government had organized a special screening of ‘Uyare’ for children in government homes. Along with the kids, the special show was also attended by Minister KK Shailaja, social justice secretery Biju Prabhakar, actress Parvathy and producers Shenuga, Shegna and Sherga of S Cube Films.
