Venkatesh Daggubati to remake Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol in Telugu
We have got an exclusive news to share with you all. Mohanlal’s latest release Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol will be remade in Telugu with popular Tollywood actor Venkatesh Daggubati reprising Mohanlal’s role from the original.
Sources close to the team have informed us that, Venkatesh was highly impressed with the audience response for Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol and decided to remake the movie in Telugu.
It is a indeed a great decision to remake the movie as the basic plot is universal and will appeal to the Telugu audience as well. Other details regarding the director and other cast members have not yet been announced.
Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol was released on January 20 to highly positive response from the audience especially the families who are flocking the theatres in large numbers. Critics and the common audience have unanimously praised the movie for the theme, presentation and the performances of the lead actors.

The movie, directed by Vellimoonga fame Jibu Jacob, is a romantic family entertainer. M Sindhuraj has written the script inspired from James VJ’s popular short story Pranayopanishath.
Venkatesh has earlier played the lead in the Telugu remake of Mohanlal’s another blockbuster movie Drishyam. Mohanlal currently enjoys a great fan following in Tollywood following the massive success of Janatha Garage. Manyam Puli, the dubbed version of Pulimurugan recently crossed the 50 days theatrical run in the Telugu states. Dubbed version of Oppam, Kanupapa is also scheduled to release next month.
