Vetrimaaran’s next with Soori and Vijay Sethupathi titled as Viduthalai; First look posters out
Director Vetrimaaran has unveiled the title and first look of his next film. Titled as ‘Viduthalai’, it has Soori and Vijay Sethupathi as the leads. The first look poster features Soori as a police constable and Vijay Sethupathi as an accused wearing a handcuff. The poster has similarities to Vetrimaaran’s own film, ‘Visaranai’, which was India’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards.
‘Viduthalai’ is said to be based on the short story ‘Thunaivan’ written by Jeyamohan. The story was first published in the magazine, Ananda Vikatan in 1992. As per the makers, the film has Soori as the protagonist and Sethupathi as the mentor.
Ilaiyaraja is composing music for the film. This is the maestro’s first time collaboration with Vetrimaaran, so expectations are on the higher side. R Velraj is cranking the camera and Peter Hein handles the stunt choreography. Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment is producing the film, shoot for which is still progressing.
