Vikram to star in Gautham Menon’s pet project Dhruva Natchathiram
For the past few months there were many speculations about who will be the lead actor in Gautham Menon’s pet project Dhruva Natchathiram. The director has finally put an end to all the guess works by announcing the movie with Vikram. The director revealed the first look poster today in his official Facebook page.
This is the first time the two are working together and expectations are already on the higher side. Dhruva Natchathiram is a spy thriller in which Vikram is playing the character John. Interestingly, Vikram’s previous movie Irumugan had him in a similar role as a RAW agent.
It must be remembered that Dhruva Natchathiram was first started with Suriya a few years back. A pooja was held and it was announced that veteran actor Parthiban and Simran will be playing pivotal characters in the movie. Unfortunately, the project could not materialize after creative differences between Suriya and Gautham Menon.
Even then the director was confident about doing the movie and he has mentioned about the project in many interviews. The first look poster released has Vikram, all suited up in a salt and pepper look reading a newspaper. According to sources, the actor will be seen in this look for most part of the film. There might be some flashback portions where he will be required to look younger.
Dhruva Natchathiram is said to be a high-octane action-thriller shot on an international scale. The film will go on floors later this week in Coonoor. Other details regarding the remaining cast and crew is expected to be announced in the coming days. Gautham Menon’s production house Ondraga Entertainment and Escape Artists Pictures will together produce this movie which is scheduled to release for August this year.
