Weekend Cinematic Universe Unveils New Face; ‘Detective Ujjwalan’ First Look Out
The Weekend Cinematic Universe has introduced its newest addition with the first look of Detective Ujjwalan. This comedy-investigation thriller, directed by newcomers Indraneel Gopeekrishnan and Rahul G, promises an engaging cinematic experience. Produced by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters, the film is slated for a May 2025 release.
Dhyan Sreenivasan plays the title role of Detective Ujjwalan, while Siju Wilson plays C.I. Shambu Mahadev. The supporting cast includes talented actors such as Kottayam Nazeer, Rony David Raj, Seema G. Nair, Ameen, Nihal Nizam, Nibraz Noushad, Shahubas, Kalabhavan Navas, Nirmal Palazhi, and Josey Sijo.
Behind the scenes, Detective Ujjwalan boasts a strong technical team. Prem Akkattu and Sraiyanti handle cinematography, and Chaman Chakko manages editing. Rzee composes the music for the film. Executive producer Manuel Cruz Darwin and project designers Cedin Paul and Kevin Paul have skillfully shaped the project. Lincy Varghese serves as the content head, ensuring the film’s narrative depth and appeal.
