Iravilum Pakalilum Odiyan to be screened at IFFI Goa; Watch then trailer here!
‘Odiyan’ is a mythical concept that’s very popular in Kerala’s folklore. They are said to have inhabited the Malabar region of Kerala before the widespread use of electricity. There are a lot of stories and myths about Odiyans and their lives. It is believed that these men have shapeshifting abilities and can assume animal forms. Last year, VA Shrikumar made a film out of this concept with superstar Mohanlal in the lead. The film was released amidst unprecedented hype but failed to live up to the expectations.
Simultaneously a documentary on the lives of odiyans was also made. Titled as ‘Iravilum Pakalilum Odiyan’, the documentary has been selected for screening at the 50th edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa. Mohanlal has shared its trailer through his social media handle and wished luck to all the team members.

Novin Vasudev has researched and directed ‘Iravilum Pakalilum Odiyan’. T Arun Kumar has penned its script is produced by La Productions. DOP Anantha Gopal, editor Sujir Babu and music director Charu Hariharan form the core technical team. It will be screened on 23rd November at 11.30 AM at the IFFI.
