Mohanlal Launches Happy New Year Malayalam short film
Child abuse is a very serious and alarming issue that needs to be widely addressed to spread awareness among people. It is one of the most disturbing issues that has been prevalent in the society from the past but most people are still unaware about the seriousness of child abuse.
Happy New Year, a short film aimed at spreading awareness about child abuse and it’s seriousness was launched today. It revolves around a kid who is being subjected to physical abuse while her mother is partying on New Year’s eve. The short film is directed by TR Ratheesh and produced by KN Diljith and Athira Diljith.
Mohanlal appears at the end of the video and talks about child abuse and how kids are being affected by it. According to studies, almost 90% of the kids are abused by their family members or neighbors. Only 10% of them are subjected to abuse by strangers.
Mohanlal stressed the need for everyone to play their parts in making the world a better place to live in for the kids, a world where they will not be subjected to any sort of abuse.
Other prominent stars like Anoop Menon,Unni Mukundan, Kunchako Boban, Kavya Madhavan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Aju Varghese, Shwetha Menon, Sanusha Santhosh, Nadirshah, Shruthi Lakshmi, Pearly Maaney, Menaka, Kaniha, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Mia George and Aparna also feature in the video supporting Mohanlal with the tagline I Support Lalettan against Child Abuse.
