Mohanlal-Shobana Starrer Thudarum Gears Up for Grand Release; First Single Promo Out
Mohanlal and Shobana’s much-anticipated reunion on the big screen, Thudarum, is inching closer to its grand release, with all major deals locked in for a hefty sum. The film, helmed by Operation Java director Tharun Moorthy, has secured its theatrical distribution through Aashirvad Cinemas and Phars Films, ensuring a massive release across Kerala and overseas. With a May 2025 release date planned, the excitement surrounding the project is skyrocketing.
Adding to the buzz, the music rights of Thudarum have been snapped up by Sony Music for a staggering amount, reportedly over ₹3 crores—one of the biggest music deals in recent times for a Malayalam film. The much-awaited first single, Kanmanipoove, composed by Jakes Bejoy, is set to be released on February 21 at 7 PM. The song promo, featuring the legendary vocals of MG Sreekumar, has already captivated fans, teasing an emotional and nostalgic melody that promises to be a chartbuster.
