Veyyon Silli: First single from Soorarai Pottru released
The makers of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ have released the first single in a Spicejet Boeing 737 flight. It is the first of its kind promotional activity in the history of Tamil cinema. The song titled ‘Veyyon Silli’ is sung by Harish Sivaramakrishnan, the leader singer of the popular band, Agam. Vivek has penned the lyrics and GV Prakash has composed the track. Earlier in the day, the makers had released a 1.30 minute long teaser of the same. Suriya and Malayali actress Aparna Balamurali feature in this song video that looks very unusual.
‘Soorarai Pottru’ is co-written and directed by Sudha Kongara of ‘Irudhi Suttru’ fame. It is loosely based on the life of GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan, who is also a retired captain of the Indian army. Suriya plays the lead character named Nedumaaran Rajangam Maara, who is a common man hailing from a small town who dreams of owning an aircraft business. Along with Suriya, the cast also includes Paresh Rawal, Urvashi, Karunas, Vivek Prasanna, Kaali Venkatb and Mohan Babu in important roles.
Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment is producing the film jointly with Suriya’s own production house, 2D Entertainment.
