Mamta Mohandas confirms being a a part of Bilal; Shoot to begin in March
If there is one film that the whole of Malayali film lovers are eagerly waiting for, it has to be ‘Bilal’, the second part of Mammootty’s cult gangster film ‘Big B’. Two years a after the film got announced, it is finally getting ready to go on floors. Amal Neerad, who made his directorial debut with ‘Big B’, is helming the sequel as well.
Mamta Mohandas, who played an important role in ‘Big B’ has confirmed that she is part of the sequel as well. She also informed that shoot will be beginning by the first week of March. It is not yet known who else from the first part will be retained in the sequel.
‘Big B’ that got released in 2007 was a stylishly shot gangster flick based in Kochi. Mammootty played the lead role with supporting roles essayed by Manoj K Jayan, Bala, Lena, Vinayakan, Vijayaraghavan and Maniyanpilla Raju. During its time of release, ‘Big B’ could not fare well at the box office. But over the years, it went on to attain a cult status.
‘Bilal’ already has sky-high hype, so it will be a tough task for Amal Neerad and team to meet the expectations. Official announcement with full details regarding the cast, crew and when shoot begins are expected to be made soon.
